welcome to my very first rant on this blog. please prepare yourself for nonsensical rambles about percy jackson.
okay so i fell back into my percy jackson obsession…
the new show sent me down a spiral of rediscovering the series and world, and i couldn’t resist rereading the house of hades, my favorite from both series.
totally normal, right? but not really because after reading the house of hades, i HAD to find a fic about the installment, so naturally, i opened up ao3 and searched until i found the absolute gem: falling for you by 1967hogwartsgoddess.
when I tell you this fic has in me in a chokehold, i’m not exaggerating. basically, the fic starts at the very end of mark of athena and takes place in house of hades, but with a twist. instead of annabeth and percy both falling into tartarus, percy manages to save annabeth but ends up falling alone.
ALONE. IN TARTARUS.
it’s safe to say that this fic goes a lot differently than the canon house of hades. remember percy making misery drown with poison? yeah imagine that but a lot worse.
the fic has more than 250k words and i’m only eleven chapters in but i’m absolutely loving it. it follows the povs of all seven demigods, but centers mostly around percy’s experience in tartarus alone.
